Announcement of 2010 Writing Contest Winners!

360 Education Solutions is proud to announce an overwhelming response from K-12 teachers with over 180 entries submitted for "The Ones We Cannot Forget" writing contest. Judging the entries was a difficult task because we enjoyed so many of them. The judging panel felt privileged to read so many true stories about ordinary people living extraordinary lives. This contest was a true testimony that the teaching public in the United States is filled with humble and caring individuals that consistently put their students at the top of their own priorities in life.

Perhaps it is not the U.S. Department of Education, or the federal government, or any amount of money spent on new federal programs that will turn around American education for the better. And, although this statement is not uniformly true, in general, it is unfortunately NOT the parents of our pupils that are really going to help. It will be the caring individuals within the education system that will make that change.

We believe extraordinary teachers are really not so rare, but they are found in a classroom within just about every learning institution of every school district in every state. Great teachers are commonplace. And, these teachers are truly our hope.

Be prepared to feel renewed and inspired to keep teaching!
