Explore ways to establish positive, constructive relationships with the parents of your students. Learn how to work with the most challenging parents in the most challenging situations, learn strategies to help deliver “less than positive” news, and build your credibility in the process.

Goals and Objectives: As a result of participation in this course, students will be able to:

  1. Explore strategies that can help build strong, positive relationships with parents of their students.
  2. Learn how to successfully resolve difficult situations with parents.
  3. Apply their learning by creating an action plan and taking concrete steps to develop positive relationships with parents.
  4. Learn how to effectively enlist the support of parents in their child’s education, thus increasing student achievement.
