There IS a more energizing/engaging way to teach and learn—through Inquiry! Join with your students to explore rich content within and beyond the curriculum—to wonder, care, question, build knowledge, and take action in the world. Explore the critical ingredients of inquiry and inquiry circles, delving into the foundational concepts of comprehension instruction, classroom collaboration, and classroom.
Goals and Objectives: As a result of participation in this course, students will be able to:
- Understand the essential components of inquiry.
- Understand the essential components of effective small group collaboration.
- Understand models of small group inquiries: including mini, curricular, literature circle, and open inquiries.
- Apply inquiry concepts to the classroom and design effective inquiry-based learning activities.
