Explore dozens of strategies to more effectively engage and motivate your students in the following areas: homework, literacy development, classroom procedures, and progress tracking. Examine ways of making your classroom more positive, inviting, and conducive to student learning and student success.
Goals and Objectives: As a result of participation in this course, students will be able to:
- Know factors and situations that are likely to promote or diminish intrinsic motivation and how to help students become self-motivated.
- Learn how to establish a positive climate in the classroom.
- Use different motivational strategies that are likely to encourage continuous development of individual learner abilities.
- Engage students in individual and group learning activities that help them develop the motivation to achieve.
- Understand the benefits of the backward design approach of lesson planning.
