Prepare to challenge your thinking, examine your current instruction and stretch your knowledge of what it means to teach and learn in our new online world. This course is a blend of theory, research and ideas for working with students who are part of the digital generation. Improve your craft and participate more fully in 21st century teaching and learning.

Goals and Objectives: As a result of participation in this course, students will be able to:

  1. Understand the learning styles of the digital generation
  2. Gain insight into the thinking/habits of mind of the digital generation
  3. Reflect on how changes in instruction can increase student achievement
  4. Increase personal knowledge of the internet and other digital tools
  5. Analyze current teaching practices and compare with those that best serve the digital generation
  6. Apply project-based learning activities into existing curriculum
